Brook Thistle. Handsome, ornamental thistle with crimson flowers held on tall stems above spiny, dark green leaves from June to September. Looks equally at home in an herbecaous border or wildflower meadow. Loved by pollinators. Height 1.2m. Spread 60cm. Full sun. Moist but well-drained soil. Hardy. RHS Award of Garden Merit.
