Bistorta 'Pink Elephant' (2L)

Bistort. Syn. Persicaria. Long thin spikes of small, bell-shaped pink flowers which bend like a wavy trunk, appear above clumps of narrow, leathery dark green foliage from July to October. Vigorous but compact variety suitable for both front of the border and containers. Height 65cm. Spread 60cm. Thrives in moist soil in sun or partial shade but can cope with slightly drier conditions once established. Hardy. RHS Recommended: Award of Garden Merit.
