Common Foxglove. Iconic UK woodlander with flowers progressively opening on upright spikes from June to July. Blooms are pink, purple and occassionally white, with spotted throats. Bees love them. Mainly biennial, though if happy they will sometimes produce new sideshoots and self-seed freely. Height 2m. Spread 60cm. Full sun/partial shade. Moist, humus-rich soil. Hardy. CAUTION toxic if eaten.
